We are very sad to acknowledge the passing of Bev Greenhalf, the sport’s number one commentator, at the age of 74.
Bev had been ill for a while, but was hoping to work one more season at Northampton International Raceway before retiring, which would have marked an incredible 45 years at the venue.
Bev had commentated all over the country on stock car racing all his life, and his knowledge and smooth manner have been an inspiration to all who have followed his path to the microphone.
His legendary hatred of modern technology, his typing of programme notes on an ancient typewriter, his huge output of programme and magazine work through his years, are the things we will remember him by.
